Quetta Church Attacked by Daesh and BNA

By Zaheerul Hassan
Four militants attacked Christian community when they were celebrating Sunday morning prayers on 17 December 2017 in Quetta. In this attack, nine innocent people embraced “Shahdat” (martyred) and 57 people injured. Pakistani security forces stopped terrorists’ entering in main hall and successfully rescued more than 400 people during militants’ action. Sources reveal, the attack was planned and executed in collaboration of Balochistan National Army(BNA), Daesh , RAW and NDS (Afghan intelligence agency. Pakistani Civil and military elite condemned the attack on Christians. Undoubtedly, one can say that the sole purpose of this militancy is to increase gulf between Muslim and Christians. While condemning the terrorist cowardly act against innocent people in Church, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff very rightly said that the attack was an attempt of creating rift between Pakistani communities. He determinedly, stated, that Pakistani nation will soon defeat the terrorists and their sponsored.
Earlier, TTP sponsored terrorists stormed Peshawar Directorate of Agriculture University at 0845 hours on first day of December 2017. In this attack 11 individuals including 9 students embraced “Shahdat” (martyred) and 34 people including security forces’ elements injured. Rapid Response Forces immediately responded, killed five terrorists and cleared the scene by 10 a.m. According to Major General Asif Ghafoor, Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack on Directorate of Agriculture Peshawar was planned and being controlled from Afghan territory. In this regard, proofs of technical evidences collected and handed over to the high level Afghan’s military delegation headed by Director General Operation visiting Islamabad on the same day.
In fact, on 15 and 24 November, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ilyas”, senior police official Abdul Razzaq Cheema and Additional Inspector General Police Mohammad Ashraf Noor were also targeted in suicide attacks in Quetta and Peshawar. In this connection, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and BNA accepted the responsibility of these attacks. Conspicuously, TTP is not the only group of criminal Taliban that single handedly carrying out insurgency, indeed they are being sponsored and supported by Indian Supreme Intelligence agency RAW, Afghan Intelligence Agency NDS and Notorious CIA. Congruently, Daesh is another group of militants which is CIA product and launched in global market to meet its covert agenda through weapons. Initially, it was flung in Middle East countries aiming to persecute Islamic community and guard Israeli interests. The infiltration and militant’s training was provided by Israel. According to an Israeli website Inian Merkazi, in August 2017, Libyan security forces have arrested a Mossad agent Ephraim Benjamin who held a leading position in Daesh since 2015 and operated in the north-eastern Libyan city of Benghazi. Ephraim Benjamin was a Jewish spy who successfully intermingled with Libyans which ultimately led to revolution 2011 and resulted into overthrow of former President Moammer Ghaddafi.
Likewise, Daeshs’ masters had also using these militant groups to create adverse security environment, so that progress of CPEC could either be hampered or interrupted to the extent of causing sufficient delay to make economically unviable project. Defeat of US led NATO forces, impassive American’s approach toward the settlement of issue, losing control over one third area and backing India in establishing militant’s launching pad all along Pak-Afghan border does indicate that Washington is not interested in settling or resolving Afghan issue for completion of its design of destabilization Pak-Afghan region.
In recent past, Afghan President Hamid Karzai in an exclusive interview with “Al Jazeera” on 10 November 2017, once again reiterated and accused the US of working with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group in his country too. He clearly alleged that American government allowed ISIL, (ISIS) to flourish inside Afghanistan. In this connection surveillance, military, political and intelligence supports were provided to Daesh [ISIL] by the supreme Intelligence agency CIA. He also claimed that US administration of President Donald Trump used ISIL as an excuse to drop a massive bomb in Nangarhar province, close to Pakistan- Afghanistan border in April 2017. Reportedly in that attack CBU-43, The largest nuclear bomb also known as the “mother of all bombs” (MOAB), was dropped, The explosive equal to 11 tonnes of TNT with a blast radius of 1.6km. As result of this blast at least 36 individuals killed and many injured. Just after this bombing, Karzai demanded that International Criminal Court (ICC) for investigating the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by US led NATO security forces in the country including, those committed under his regime from 2004-2014.
Recently, in another attack a 12 years old boy killed at least 14 people, showing that militants can still hit the heart of the city despite tighter security. Earlier, on 31 May Afghan capital’s “Green Zone” a massive truck bomb ripped through the area killing or wounding people were in hundreds. The attacks in highly sensitive area reveal the actual state of poor security arrangements in Kabul and government writ all over country. The blast wave intensified on contrary to synthetic Trump policies that claim the improvement in security environment and eliminating terrorism in Afghanistan. However, The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the attack was designed to minimise the risk to Afghan and US forces conducting “clearing operations” in the area. To achieve the mission President Trump has decided to increase the troops and dropped 3500 marines in Afghanistan as part of a new strategy which was announced in August, Trump has given Defense Secretary James Mattis, a retired Marine general, broad authority to adjust troop levels in Afghanistan based on military requirements. The president has also permitted the military to change the rules of engagement, overturning a requirement for soldiers to be in contact with enemy forces before opening fire.
Notably, three years ago, in December 2014, former President Obama declared an end to U.S. combat operations in Afghanistan, but that was only on papers since it never been stopped due to CIA backing Daesh and TTP to promote terrorism in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The objective of supporting Daesh could be to eliminate local Talban who are fighting against foreign forces and establishing Deash to create regional insecurity so that success of CPEC project either be stopped or slow down to the extent which would ultimately lead to failure and uneconomical. These were the reasons that Daesh started targeting public places, Churches, mosques, and foreigners, aiming of alleging local Taliban, who are controlling currently roughly 43 percent of Afghanistan’s districts. In this context, the report of Taliban has also been confirmed by SIGAR, a U.S. watchdog agency that reveals government has controls of 13 percent of the country’s districts and continues to fight for more territory and roughly 43 percent of Afghanistan’s districts are under control of Afghan Taliban.
But, the Islamic State group and Daesh claimed responsibility for all the attacks on security installations, hitting innocent people in mosques and open areas in recent weeks. During the said militancy more than 203 individuals, including 33 police cadets were killed and hundreds wounded. Terrorists attacks on Church, mosques and innocent locals and seem to be instrumented by some un-Islamic forces which are operating under the shelter of those global actors which are having agenda of regional destabilization. These actors are also forcing Pakistan to do more against Afghan Taliban and making attempts to interrupt speedy development of CPEC Project.
Attacking public places were carried out, either prior to, during or aftermath of US Defence and State Sectaries visits of Afghanistan. Probably, deliberate synchronization the attacks and US high officials visits timings have been done, aiming to attract global attention towards Afghanistan and thus justifying further stay of American’ troops and President Trump’s policy on Afghanistan Issue. Thus, likely chances are there that CIA has tasked it’s favourit terrorist organization Daesh and BNA to hit innocent people. The said hypothesis might be true since CIA direct links with ISIS and Daesh in Syria and Iraq are no more secret.
Karazai statement particularly is an eye-opener and sufficient reasons to believe for President Trump and to those who always claim that why despite spending billions of dollars in the aftermath of 9/11, US allied forces failed in establishing peace, eradication of extremism and controlling Afghanistan. Media Reports also reveal that there is no rule of law over 60% of Afghan territory. They also rightly claimed and confirmed the reports Pakistani supreme intelligence agency about the presence of groups of felons Taliban and foreigners. In fact, they are operating against ruling elite, allied troops and locals. Many of these groups have established their camp in the border areas of Afghanistan and providing shelters to those elements who are carrying out militancy in Balochistan and KPK. They are being supported and funded covertly and sometimes overtly by CIA, RAW and NDS. Arrest of Indian Serving Naval Officer Kulbushin Yadave by Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) are the proves of Indian involvement in Balochistan.
In short, attacking innocent people is just not acceptable and terrorists and their sponsored have to be defeated at all cost. At the same time, if US and European countries should play their role and stop providing asylums and shelters to BNA self-exiled Baloch separatist leader Brahamdagh Bugti. Lastly, Afghan issue need to be resolved through reconciliation and early negotiations between major stake holders like, Afghan government, Taliban, Pakistan and US.
