Edhi Moved to Heaven: How to Serve the Humanity

Legendary personality and philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi has moved to Heaven at the age of 88. He borne in a village called Bantva of Indian Gujarat state. He shifted to Pakistan in 1948. According to Guinness Book of World Record of 2000, He i runs the biggest Ambulance Service in the World. He started the Ambulance Service in 1948 and uptill now has more than 1200 ambulances which include Air Ambulances as well. He gets the donation of 5 Million dollars yearly which does not include any government fund. He was holding the highest Pakistani Civil award in addition to Ghandi peace and others foreign awards.
He received the Ramon Magsaysay Award for public service in 1986. The Edhi Foundation operates ambulance services, orphanages, women’s shelters, dispensaries and morgues in several Pakistani cities.
Edhi was sick since couple of months and always refused to move abroad for the treatment. In June, he reportedly declined an offer from former president Asif Ali Zardari for treatment abroad, saying he would only be treated in a government hospital in Pakistan.
Earlier, his son Faisal Edhi told a news conference that his father was in critical condition at the intensive care unit of a Karachi hospital.
His condition took a turn for the worse in the afternoon when he faced difficulty breathing while undergoing dialysis at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation.He fought against prejudice, cruelty, and poverty. He was never worked for political gains, never asked for any position in the government, no fatwas and no greed. He throughout his life only worked for sake of humanity.
President of Pakistan, three services Chiefs, ruling elite, and strength people from all segments of life attended his funnel ceremonies in National stadium. Pakistan Armed Forces presented guard of honour .
He also donated his eyes before proceeding to skies. He will definitely keep on observing and supervising the continuation of his mission of serving humanity while sitting in in heaven. Thus, Edhi can’t die and will live forever. He gave a message “How to serve the humanity”. The nation is proud of him.
