Mr Usman Khalid, President of the LISA (London Institute of South Asia) spoke that the situation in south Asia has been changing at a very fast pace. This is because of a greatest violations of basic Human Rights in the incredible India since 15th August, 1947, Mr Alan Hart of the United Kingdom made an emphatic and forceful statement that the ‘Democracy’ in the democratic countries has been failing, a new system of democracy is badly needed so that the voice of the electorates could be heard, democratically elected administrations, in both the presidential democratic and the parliamentary systems of democracy, requires far more attentions to look after the needs of electorates and the administrations should pay attention to the voice who have elected them (the electorates and the administration in office). Democracy is for the people and by the people, and the ‘Democracy needs far more refinements and changes to fulfill the need of the electorates’. There is a need of the hour when the Unite Nation alias UN:Human Rights Council must exercise more power to stop the Human Rights Violations in the world.

Professor of Sikhism Gurtej Singh of the view that the “Sikhs and other non-Hindus-Brahmins minorities” are the Slaves in the predominantly Hindu-Brahmins’ India. There is rapid degradation in the “Law and Order” in India.

Incompetent, criminal, murderers, and law-breaking law-makers have been ruling the country, unfortunately. In Punjab [under Indian occupation], more than 25,000 unidentified persons were killed in only three districts of Punjab, when Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalsa, an Akali Dal (Badal) Human Rights Activist, presented his findings to the Punjab High Court, sometimes after the “Operation BlueStar of June, 1984″, a brutal war waged by the Indira Gandhi administration in Punjab, the Holy and Historicland of the Sikhs, in the name of “Operation Bluestar” of June, 1984.

K J Singh expressed his grave concerns on the usage of alcohol and narcotics by the Sikhs, especially the Sikh youth, lack of schools, the schools’ deteriorating conditions, control of the Sikhs’ apex religious and historical places, desecration of the Darbar Sahib Complex, Gurdwaras, poor standard of the college and university education, and growing public health problems all around Punjab.

Madam Irene P Hujon expressed her concerns on the deteriorating situation of the Christians in Meghalaya, Assam and 8-sister of Assam.

Mr Nitin Gangurde expressed his concerns on the Dalits and child labour, which constitutes over 50% of the total population of more than 1.2 billion population of hungry mouths in India. The above are the excerpts of the Seminar held on 19th September, 2013, in the 24th Session of the United Nations: Human Rights Council.

Dr Awatar Singh Sekhon, as requested by the Moderator, Dr Charles Graves, presented the summation of the 2-h Seminar session. Seminar included about 30-min question and answer period. The seminar had been attended by the participants who belonged to the Sikhs of Punjab and Sikh Diaspora, Internationally Disputed Areas of Jammu and Kashmir under the ‘Occupation’ of India, Morocco, Canada, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Tamil communities of Tamilnadu settled in the U K and France, and Bangladesh.

Dr Sekhon paid rich tributes to the Liberation of U K, Mr Sanjoy Barua, the Moderator Dr Graves, and all the attendees, who spared their precious moments and showing their interests in the Seminar. Dr Sekhon has been of the view that the Seminar held under the Moderatorship of Dr Charles Graves has been an exceptional service to the Gross Human Rights Violations of Punjab and South Asia.
