Like Friday, March 5 and March 12th as usual, there is lot of tension in the Palestinian areas due to aggression by Israeli police in trying to stop peaceful Muslim protesters.

The world bodies like United Nations Organisation (UNO) and the International Non-Governmental Organisations, which claim to be the sole spokes-bodies for the human rights throughout the world are silent spectators as if nothing has happened. Over six decades back, on the recommendations of UN’s Special Committee on Palestine, General Assembly partitioned Palestine to accommodate illegal and illegitimate Jew immigrants against the wishes of the Muslim world and other nations which opposed and voted against it. To this unjust partition is associated most of the unrest in Arab world, Middle East and other parts of the world. The recent tension was part of international conspiracy due to Israeli announcement of February 21, that the Cave of Patriarchs (Ibrahim’s Mosque) in Hebron and Rachel’s Tomb (Bilal Mosque) in Bethlehem will be part of a list of sites for preservation and rehabilitation as national heritage. To add fuel to the fire, Israelis approved 1600 new houses at Jerusalem. The latest move, in which US along with Britain are equally involved, aims at creating tension in the Middle East and rest of the Muslim world and to single out those countries which oppose the US-British-Israeli conspiracy. Ironically, US being main architect behind this conspiracy criticised the move as “provocative and unhelpful” and Israeli behaviour ‘insulting’ although everything is being done by its consent. In protest against Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s announcement regarding Muslims’ holy places, several thousands of Palestinian Muslims carried out peaceful protests on March 5th but were charged by Israeli policemen near Al-Aqsa Mosque, who fired grenades to disperse at the assembly. Around 60 of Palestinian protesters fainted or were injured and treated for teargas inhalation, five policemen were also slightly injured. The Muslim world expressed anger and condemned latest conspiracy against Muslims. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned Israeli evil designs against Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Cave of the Patriarchs and Rachel’s Tomb and claimed that these “were not and never will be Jewish sites, but Islamic sites.” Secretary General Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu condemned the Israeli assault on freedom of worship and warned that it would drag the region into a religious war. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who is not a free man, claimed that March 5th events could damage the chances of resuming the peace process. While talking to Palestine Television, Abbas said: “Israel continues to place obstacles in front of Mitchell’s efforts” to revive long-stalled peace negotiations.” One wonders that if President Abbas was referring to US Middle East envoy Mitchell George, there can be no hope from such people who themselves are patronising the Israeli conspiracy. There is also not much expected from US Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to Israel and the West Bank as his past record reflected nothing more than bloodshed and atrocities against Muslims. Palestine problem is not only the problem for the people of Palestinian origin but the Muslims of the whole world. Struggle for the independence of Palestine and protection of first ‘Qibla’ and other Muslims’ holy place is solemn duty of every Muslim. It was 27th of Rajab on the occasion of ‘Meraj’ when the holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) took journey from Masjid-ul-Haram to Masjid Aqsa. The non-Muslims are trying their best through hook or crook to occupy Masjid Aqsa and the sacred places, scattered all over Palestine. Today if we analyse the situation around the world, the countries which are to be blamed for unrest and terror include Britain, US, France. As rightly pointed out by the Council of All India Muslim League on April 10, 1946 that “… As a result of the policy of the British government and the attitude of the US, the Jewish terrorists in Palestine have been encouraged and prompted to flout all laws and authority and establish reign of terror… if US government does not give up its anti-Arab and unscrupulous policy in Arabia and Middle East, it will lit up a huge conflagration that would shatter the peace of the whole world..” It is equally important to mention here that British government set aside the declaration of White Paper on Palestine under the influence of Jewish capitalists and the American Zionists propaganda which was backed by the US government. The White Paper on Palestine laid down that all Jewish immigration into Palestine should cease on April 1, 1946 but US was adamant to partitioning of Palestine into Arab and Jewish divisions. One wonders that isn’t it a contempt of the basic principles of democracy. In case it is not, why can’t Muslims have their separate homelands in Britain, US, France and other countries of the world on similar lines. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah while delivering a sppech at a meeting held under the auspices of Balochistan Muslim League on October 10, 1945 said: “… Over half a million Jews have already been accommodated in Jerusalem against the wishes of the people. May I know which country has accommodated them? I have great sympathy for them and have no ill-will against the Jews but the question is that they have entered Palestine with a set motive to re-conquer Jerusalem with the help of British and American forces. I hope the Jews will not succeed in their nefarious designs and I wish Great Britain and America should keep their hands off from there and then I will see how the Jews Conquer Jerusalem. Every man and woman of Muslim world will die before Jews seize Jerusalem. …. And if such exploitation of small nations is to continue even after this bloody war then let us pray to God to send some more destructive force than the atomic bomb to do the work and job of this world.” In the present scenario, the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called the Israeli behaviour insulting due to approval of 1600 housing units in East Jerusalem on the very day US Vice President Joe Biden was in Israel to initiate new round of negotiations. But one can smell some underhand deal between Israel-US and some of the puppet characters in Palestine. Palestine negotiator, Saeb Erekat, claimed that “President Abbas told the Americans that it would be very difficult to embark on the talks without the cancellation of Israeli decision to build 1600 housing units in East Jerusalem and a commitment not to initiate any settlement activities in the future.” We have the real face of the so-called present Middle East peace mediators’ the US, the European Union, Russia and United Nations in 1940s so how can we expect anything good from them. Condemnation by these mediators is just eyewash and an effort to restore the trust of the Muslims but we must not forget that what is going to be the result if coffin thieves are given the responsibility to distribute the graves. Ironically, instead of imposing trade sanctions on Israel, European Union said that they could use closer trade ties as leverage to urge Israel to resume peace talks with the Palestinians. Whatever, we call it, the security scenario around the world resolve around injustice against Muslims in Palestine, Kashmir and other destinations. If some one wish to know the genesis of present day conflicts, we must go through Resolution of 25th session of All-India Muslim League held at Lucknow from October 15-18, 1937 which reflects the root cause “...The All-India Muslim League appeals the rulers of the Muslim countries to continue to use their power and influence and best endeavours to save the holy places in Palestine from the sacrilege of non-Muslims domination and the Arabs of the Holy Land from the enslavement of the British imperialism backed by Jewish finance. The session of All-India Muslim League warns the British Government that if it fails to alter its present pro-Jewish policy in Palestine, the Islamic world, will look upon Britain as enemy of Islam and shall be forced to adopt all necessary measures according to the dictates of their faith. In a letter by Grand mufti of Palestine addressed to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah dated May 5, 1946, he requested, “Muslims of Palestine cannot alone surmount and overcome this aggression of the aggressors namely the Jews, the English and the Americans and unless and until all the Muslims, hand in hand solid as rock, do not join hands to save Palestine it will definitely fall prey to the usurpers and the sacred name of Islam will be banished from Palestine for good. Apart from that our sacred places will be lost, including the holy Masjid Al-Aqsa being the first and foremost, which Jews claim to be their own.” At this juncture, Muslims must unite to pressurize Britain, US and all other countries who are part of this conspiracy against Muslim holy places. One wonders, as a first step we must boycott goods from these countries and should not allow these countries to use our resources.
